Introduction

jsonpad is a JSON storage platform with an API based on REST design principles. The API enables you to store and retrieve JSON data using standard HTTP features like verbs, authentication and response codes.

How jsonpad works

Your JSON objects are stored as Items which are contained inside Lists. This allows you to organise and separate your data according to your application's requirements.

You can create and manage lists either using the API or by logging in and using the web interface. Lists are addressed by name, so a typical API request might look like GET https://jsonpad.io/api/v1.0/lists/testlist/items.

Once you have created one or more lists, you can start adding Items. Each item is given a unique id which can be used to fetch, update or delete the item. Items can be partially updated using JSON patch format.

Every time a list or item is created, updated or deleted an Event is generated. Events contain information about the operation that was performed, which allows you to view historical activity on a per-resource basis.
